There are many beautiful areas in this country that are being over developed and taken for granted. When I first began my quest to show these undiscovered gems, I realized how easily accessible and how greatly under appreciated these places are. By photographing these areas, I hope to portray the tranquility, beauty, and solitude that one can gather. These seemingly unimportant areas hold in them great beauty and a necessity which, at first glance, is not entirely evident. The environment (ecosystems; human beings and animals alike) depends on these undeveloped areas to survive and flourish. By looking at these photos, it is my hope that one would feel relaxation and begin to contemplate the beauty of the “Quiet Places”. If I can ascertain this goal, it is my belief that simply looking at these photos may one day preserve the areas that they portray.
