Ruth Maupin

Ruth is a Northwest artist who paints landscapes using a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, casein and watercolor.

Ruth's education has been informal, involving workshops, classes and much time spent painting outdoors and in the studio.

Ruth and her husband have traveled extensively in the Northwest and the Southwest. They enjoy sailing, bicycling, kayaking, hiking and long road trips. Armed with cameras and paints they are always looking for interesting scenes. “Painting has enhanced my way of seeing the natural beauty that surrounds us. Traveling, either by walking in the woods near my home or sailing to islands in Canada, is the first step of my paintings”
