Ingrid Amirault

I call the Pacific Northwest home.  Getting out  to hike, kayak, bike and dance can translate into subject matters as  diverse as landscapes, florals, buildings, people and pets. Movement,  energy and feeling is what I have interest in and it is my intention to  capture this visual descriptive narrative.

My medium is currently oil and I paint in both  studio and plein air settings. Originally I started painting with  watercolors and customers have said my work still has a watercolor  'feel'.

My formal training is in interior design with  extensive technical drawing though I consider my education in fine art  to be self-taught augmented by professional workshops and artists I  admire.
