Fine Art Photography

Photography has been my artistic expression since my teens. Most of my photography, until we moved to Kingston in 2018, captured our travel or documented family events.

When my wife, Trish, and I retired to Kitsap in 2018, my interest in landscape and nature photography was instantly inspired by the amazing beauty that surrounds us. My work soon grew to include Eagles, Ferries and Event photography. My first entry into a competition was the 2019 Edmonds Art Festival, where all three of my submissions were accepted into juried competition. One of the pieces you will see here, “Goodbye Bremerton” took first place in photography.

Recently, I discovered what I call, “Out of Camera Abstract” photography. Finding engaging compositions that are abstract in appearance but are not digitally altered. The series in this show is called “Ocean Dye” as they are boat hulls out of the water where, while undergoing cleaning and renovation, numerous colors and textures are exposed.
